Username field is missing from My Info

The username field is missing from the My Info page. Where did it go?

Answer

The field is hidden and kept in sync with the email address field.

We made this change for a couple of reasons:

• cPanelID, the current SSO method, requires the username field to match the email address; otherwise, you can't log in using cPanelID. We want to ensure that users don’t inadvertently edit the username, which will prevent them from logging in in the future.
• We are working to make SSO the only available login method. You may already be using SSO for other cPanel-related logins, which will help streamline the login process and connect your information. We will communicate more through the process, including any actions you may need to take.

What this means for you

You will need to log in to cPanel University using your email address.
