Why does my certificate and/or account show "Unnamed User" as my name?
You need to fill out your name in your cPanel Store account. The cPanel Store is the source of truth, so if you leave your cPanel Store account with no name, the name on your cPanel University account will display "Unnamed User". If you manually update your University account but not your Store account, the change will be overwritten to "Unnamed User" when you log in to University with cPanelID.
You'll need to add your name to your account to fix this issue and ensure your name is synced correctly. Follow these directions to make that change:
- Log in to your cPanel Store account: https://store.cpanel.net/
- Near the top, click Account Settings.
- On the next page, click Update Contact Information.
- Add your name to the Name field, fill in any other required fields, and click Save.
This will ensure your name in cPanel University is correct and does not revert to "Unnamed User" when you next log into cPanel University.
If you have any certificates with "Unnamed User" as the name, please submit a ticket requesting we apply the name change to your certificate(s).
